Tech Lead (Mobile Banking) (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities *Main duties and day-to-day tasks expected from the resource Lead and manage a dedicated mobile banking squad comprising mobile developers, backend engineers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and business analysts. Own end-to-end delivery of mobile banking initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, architecture standards, and regulatory requirements. Drive technical design, solution reviews, sprint planning, release planning, and delivery governance for mobile applications. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to React Native, Android, and iOS development teams. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, UX/UI teams, API teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital banking solutions. Ensure adherence to SDLC, DevSecOps, security, performance, and quality engineering practices. Manage technical risks, dependencies, production issues, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee integration of mobile applications with APIs, microservices, authentication platforms, and core banking systems. Drive performance, scalability, resilience, and observability requirements across mobile channels. Support production releases, go-live activities, incident management, and executive reporting. Required Skills *Primary technical and functional skills Strong experience managing mobile application development teams in enterprise environments. Hands-on knowledge of React Native, Android, iOS, mobile application architecture, and lifecycle management. Strong understanding of API-first architecture, microservices, backend integrations, and event-driven architectures. Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mobile security, certificate pinning, and secure coding practices. Strong delivery management, Agile, Scrum, and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing complex delivery roadmaps and multiple concurrent initiatives. Strong understanding of cloud-native solutions and deployment methodologies. Required Experience / Knowledge Areas *Specific domain or industry knowledge required 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3-5 years as a Technical Lead or Engineering Lead. Proven experience delivering Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Digital Onboarding, Payments, Corporate Banking, or Financial Services solutions. Experience leading squads within Banking or Financial Services organizations. Strong knowledge of mobile application security, compliance, and banking regulatory requirements. Experience working with large-scale customer-facing applications supporting high transaction volumes and mission-critical services. Knowledge of API Management, Microservices, Azure Cloud, and modern software delivery practices. Good-to-Have Skills Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native deployments. Experience with Kong API Gateway, Azure APIM, Apigee, or Layer7. Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and SonarQube. Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics. Exposure to Digital Banking modernization, AI-enabled banking, and enterprise transformation programs. Experience managing offshore and distributed delivery teams.
