Technical Architect – CBT Platform

Technical Architect responsible for designing, scaling, and governing a high-performance Computer-Based Testing (CBT) platform supporting large-scale, concurrent examinations. The role will own application architecture, microservices, assessment engine, data architecture, integrations, security, scalability, and platform reliability. Key Responsibilities• Architect end-to-end CBT platforms supporting high concurrency, multi-tenancy, and large-scale examinations.• Design architecture for exam creation, scheduling, candidate management, question delivery, response capture, evaluation, scoring, results, and reporting.• Design and govern microservices architecture using Node.js and Golang.• Architect scalable web applications using Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.• Design and optimize MongoDB data models, indexing, replication, and high-volume transaction handling.• Develop scalable APIs and integrations with LMS, ERP, IAM, and third-party platforms.• Architect secure mechanisms for question paper delivery, candidate authentication, response storage, and examination data protection.• Design reliable exam session management, autosave, timer, reconnect/recovery, and state persistence mechanisms.• Drive high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and exam-day scalability.• Conduct architecture reviews, capacity planning, performance testing, and system optimization.• Define technical standards for APIs, microservices, databases, security, logging, monitoring, and deployment.• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and drive architecture modernization.Core Technical Skills▪ Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git▪ Backend & Data: PHP, Python, Golang, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL▪ AI/ML & CV: AI/ML models, behavioral analytics, YOLO (object detection), video analysis▪ Architecture: Serverless, microservices, secure system designWork Location - Chennai (Work from Office)
