Travelers of all types—solo, couples, families, groups, and international visitors—can use Guidzy to access reliable local support and truly “explore India like a local.”Role Description The Technical Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead Guidzy’s technology vision, architecture, and product development from the ground up. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala, India, working closely with the founding team to build and scale a robust travel platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining technical strategy, overseeing system architecture, managing the development lifecycle, and ensuring platform performance, reliability, and security. The CTO will design and implement core product features, integrate third-party services, establish development standards and processes, and build and mentor the engineering team. The role also involves collaborating with product, business, and operations teams to translate user needs into scalable solutions and iterate quickly based on market feedback.Qualifications Strong analytical skills to interpret user behavior, product metrics, and technical trade-offs, and to drive data-informed decisions.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with founders, engineers, partners, and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and inclusive manner.Sales-related capabilities, including supporting product demos, engaging with early customers, and representing the technology vision in partner conversations.Marketing awareness to align product features with market needs, support go-to-market initiatives, and contribute to positioning and messaging for a tech audience.Research skills to stay current with travel-tech trends, security best practices, and relevant tools, and to evaluate new technologies for platform growth.Proven experience designing and scaling web or mobile platforms (preferably marketplace or travel-tech) using modern architectures and cloud infrastructure.Hands-on expertise in backend and frontend development, APIs, databases, and performance optimization, with willingness to code in early stages.Experience building and leading engineering teams, setting development processes, and implementing QA, DevOps, and security standards.Ability to work on-site in Kerala, India, and engage directly with local partners and users to understand ground-level needs.
