Technical Co-Founder

Job Title: Technical Co-Founder / Founding EngineerAbout AthaNextAthaNext is an online platform for athletic development, combining a SaaS business-management suite for coaches with a two-sided marketplace connecting them to athletes and parents.

We exist to centralize the currently fragmented private coaching sector, built on a holistic approach to athletic development.We are live in beta today, with real coaches and athletes actively using the product.We're looking for a technical co-founder or founding engineer to own the product and technology side of the business as we grow out of beta. This role can be structured as an equity co-founder position or a salary + equity founding hire, depending on the candidate.ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical roadmap, including architecture, stack decisions, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs as we scaleBuild and harden core marketplace functionality: booking, scheduling, messaging, and paymentsMaintain the trust and reliability required of a live product handling real money and real usersPartner directly with the founder on product strategy for both sides of the marketplace (coaches/brands and athletes/parents)Build and lead a small technical team as the company grows post-fundraiseRequirementsHands-on builder with a track record of shipping and iterating quickly with real usersFull-stack experience (React, Supabase/Postgres or comparable environments)Comfortable with early-stage tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and technical debtBachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in a related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferredExperience with marketplaces, two-sided platforms, or consumer SaaSBackground in sports, athletics, or youth development
