Technical Design Manager

Team members collaborate across brands and disciplines to deliver high-quality, innovative store concepts for regional and international clients.Role Description Ø Responsible for timely completion and accuracy of technical project work.Ø Create 3D models based on client proposed details for furniture, and installations.Ø Produce Detailed 2D approval drawings for individual items of furniture.Ø Maintain a detailed projected time plan of all items within a project submission.Ø Maintain project log of approval drawings submissions.Ø Create requests for information for a complete technical understanding of requirements.Ø Propose mock up details of furniture and installations to ensure effective delivery to client.Ø Produce changes to drawings based upon client comments and feedback.Ø Suggest value engineering options for furniture and installations.Ø Provide assistance to Procurement and PM departments during material approval process.Ø Maintenance and update of ERP system (eg. BOM, Project Hours, Drawing Details).Ø Use in-house work manager software to database all 3D and 2D content.Ø Provide technical support to Estimation, Procurement, PM and Key Account Managers.Ø Retrieve necessary technical information in project kick off meetings.Ø Produce and check detailed workshop drawings for in house factory and vendors.Ø Follow company procedure for saving and filing relevant project data.Ø Maintain clear lines of communication throughout the businessØ Work in an organized fashion to ensure successful completion of projects.Includes: maintaining personal task/to do lists, time management.Ø Support the Project Management with the execution of projectsØ Make site visits where necessaryØ Make vendor visits where necessaryØ Supports the Management Team as and when required. Qualifications & Competencies:Ø Technical Design or Engineering Degree or equivalentØ At least 5 years’ experience in shopfitting industry.Ø 3D modeling to a high level of proficiencyØ 2D technical drawing to a high level of proficiencyØ Proficient in English
