TECHNICAL DIRECTOR | Facades SystemsOne of our key clients, a leading manufacturer within the building envelope and architectural systems sector to appoint an experienced Technical Director.This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving innovation, product development, testing, certification, and long-term product strategy across a portfolio of facade, aluminium, curtain walling, glazing, and architectural systems solutionsKey ResponsibilitiesLead the R&D and Product Development function across multiple product lines.Develop innovative, façade, aluminium, fenestration, curtain wall, and building envelope systems.Drive new product introduction from concept through design, testing, certification, and market launch.Establish and implement long-term product roadmaps aligned with market trends and customer requirements.Manage product performance, system optimization, and value-engineering initiatives.Oversee testing, certification, compliance, and technical approvals in accordance with international standards.Work closely with commercial, manufacturing, engineering, and executive leadership teams to deliver strategic business objectives.Identify emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering and product development teams.Manage R&D budgets, resources, project schedules, and innovation pipelines.RequirementsDegree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences, or a related technical discipline.MBA or additional business qualification preferred.15+ years' experience within facade systems, aluminium, fenestration, curtain walling, architectural glazing, or building envelope products.Proven leadership experience within a Technical, R&D, Engineering, Innovation, or Product Development environment.Strong understanding of product testing, certification, industry standards, and compliance requirements.Demonstrated experience developing commercially successful products and systems.Experience managing international projects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate customer requirements into market-leading solutions.What's on OfferExecutive-level leadership opportunitySignificant influence on company strategy and innovationRegional and international exposureCompetitive executive compensation packageIf you have a track record of developing innovative building systems and leading high-performing technical teams, please apply.
