Technical Director

Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead the overall operational delivery of two major festival sites in Saudi Arabia.The Technical Director will be responsible for the planning, coordination, installation, testing, operation, and oversight of all technical production systems across both festival locations. This includes giant match screens, secondary LED screens, stages, audio systems, lighting, LED infrastructure, power distribution, and technical safety compliance. The role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted live match broadcasts, safe event operations, and the successful delivery of a high-quality fan experience throughout the event period.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall technical delivery and operations across both festival sites.Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and operation of all technical production systems.Manage all large-format match screens, including the main broadcast screens and secondary LED displays.Ensure live match broadcasts are received, distributed, and displayed without interruption throughout all event operations.Direct the delivery of stage production systems, including audio, lighting, video, and show control infrastructure.Oversee temporary power infrastructure and distribution networks, ensuring adequate capacity, redundancy, and operational reliability.Coordinate technical contractors, suppliers, broadcast partners, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of all systems.Develop and implement technical operating procedures, contingency plans, and emergency response protocols.Conduct technical inspections and sign off on system readiness prior to event opening and match-day operations.Ensure compliance with all technical, structural, electrical, and operational safety requirements.Monitor technical performance during live operations and lead the resolution of any technical incidents or system failures.Produce technical reports, risk assessments, and post-event evaluations to support continuous improvement.Required SkillsStrong technical production expertise across video, audio, lighting, staging, LED systems, and temporary power infrastructure.Advanced knowledge of live broadcast feeds, signal distribution, video playback, and large-format screen operations.Strong understanding of rigging, structural loading, and technical safety requirements.Experience managing complex technical integrations involving multiple contractors and suppliers.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under time-critical live event conditions.Strong understanding of risk management, operational readiness, and event safety standards.Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure live event environments.Experience RequirementMinimum 10 years of experience in technical production, technical operations, or event technology management.Proven experience delivering large-scale outdoor live events, fan zones, sporting events, festivals, or major public gatherings.Relevant technical, engineering, production, or event management qualifications are preferred.Location / Work ModeSaudi Arabia - Riyadh & JeddahAdditional NotesContract: October 2026 - February 2027
