Technical Documentation ManagerDefence & Aerospace | South West UKA growing aerospace and defence organisation is looking for an experienced Technical Documentation Manager to take ownership of a critical documentation and information management function supporting complex engineering programmes.This is a rare opportunity to join a team at an early stage and play a key role in shaping documentation processes, standards and delivery across high-profile defence projects.What you'll be doingLeading the delivery of technical documentation for complex defence programmes.Managing and coordinating external documentation providers and publishing partners.Defining documentation requirements, standards and governance processes.Reviewing and approving documentation outputs to ensure quality, consistency and compliance.Acting as a key interface between engineering teams, customers and external stakeholders.Driving continuous improvement across documentation tools, processes and ways of working.What we're looking forExperience working within a defence, aerospace or other highly regulated engineering environment.Strong knowledge of technical publications, structured authoring or military documentation standards.Experience managing technical authors, suppliers, contractors or external delivery teams.Ability to engage with customers and translate requirements into effective documentation solutions.A proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and adopting new technologies.What's on offerOpportunity to build and influence a growing capability.High levels of autonomy and visibility within the business.Work on cutting-edge defence and aerospace programmes.Hybrid working with a mix of office, customer-site and remote working.Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain full UK Security Clearance (SC).To apply, please submit your CV for a confidential discussion.
