Technical Draftsman / Technical Detailer – Riyadh

Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaExperience: 3–5+ yearsAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Technical Draftsman / Technical Detailer to join our client in Riyadh.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in woodworking, joinery, furniture, exhibition stands, event production, stage scenery or TV studio set construction and be able to convert design concepts into complete, workshop-ready production packages.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed 2D and 3D technical/shop drawings using AutoCAD.Work directly from SketchUp designer models and develop them into production-ready drawings.Prepare detailed execution and shop drawings with dimensions, materials, connections and assembly details.Prepare DXF/DWG files for CNC cutting.Prepare panel nesting and material optimization layouts.Prepare cutting lists, component schedules and assembly details.Ensure drawings are suitable for workshop fabrication and on-site installation.Coordinate with designers, workshop teams and project teams to resolve technical details.Apply practical knowledge of carpentry, woodwork and joinery construction methods.Understand workshop fabrication processes and site assembly requirements.Knowledge of light steel structures and metal fabrication is an advantage.Required Skills & Experience3–5+ years of relevant experience in joinery, furniture, woodworking, exhibition stands, event production, stage scenery, TV studio sets or similar industries.Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D.Strong working knowledge of SketchUp.Experience preparing shop/execution drawings.Experience with CNC router/file preparation, DXF/DWG and panel nesting.Good understanding of woodwork, carpentry and joinery detailing.Understanding of workshop fabrication and installation requirements.Ability to read and interpret design concepts and develop them into production drawings.Strong attention to detail and practical understanding of how designs are manufactured and assembled.Preferred BackgroundCandidates from the following sectors are particularly encouraged to apply:Exhibition stands & event productionStage scenery / theatre workshopsTV studio set constructionFurniture manufacturingCustom joinery & carpentryInterior fit-out / specialist joineryImportant: Candidates whose experience is limited to mechanical equipment, heavy steel structures, tanks, piping or sheet-metal production will not be considered unless they also have proven experience in woodwork, joinery and CNC-router preparation.ApplicationPlease apply with your updated CV.
