Company Description DORZ.Dubai is a community-focused app designed to connect neighbors, local businesses, and building management in a single, easy-to-use platform. The app is free for individuals and building management, making it accessible for communities across Dubai. Local businesses can participate through paid plans that allow them to showcase targeted ads in relevant categories, increasing visibility and engagement. As the only app of its kind in Dubai, DORZ.Dubai aims to strengthen community ties while helping local businesses grow. The team is driven by a mission to create a more connected, vibrant urban lifestyle for residents and businesses alike.Role Description The Technical Founder will lead the end-to-end technical vision, architecture, and development of the DORZ.Dubai platform while collaborating closely with the business and product teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable app features, overseeing system architecture and infrastructure, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability. The role involves coordinating with designers and non-technical stakeholders to translate community and business needs into technical solutions, as well as selecting and managing technology stacks, tools, and vendors. The Technical Founder will also build and guide a small technical team, establish development standards and processes, and plan for future product iterations and integrations. This is a contract role and a hybrid position based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.Qualifications Strong experience in full-stack or mobile app development (e.g., iOS/Android, frontend frameworks, backend services, APIs, and databases).Proven background in system architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization for consumer-facing platforms.Experience setting up and managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.Ability to define and manage product roadmaps, prioritize features, and work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders.Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, with previous startup or founding experience strongly preferred.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners.Comfort leading and mentoring engineers, recruiting technical talent, and establishing engineering best practices.Familiarity with community, social, or marketplace platforms and an interest in building products that strengthen local communities.Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, with readiness to work in a hybrid arrangement (on-site and remote).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
