Technical Lead — Backend (Full-Stack)

We design, build, and operate the applications, platforms, and games that decide whether ambitious organisations win or lose — for clients who cannot afford to lose.The roleYou will lead backend engineering on our largest client program, spanning a multi-service ERP, public-facing platforms, mobile apps, and operational dashboards. You own the backend end to end — architecture, code, servers, and databases — and you are genuinely full-stack. When a release needs frontend work, you ship it yourself.You will not work alone. You sit inside a delivery squad — engineers, designers, QA, and a dedicated project manager — and you are the technical anchor of that team: turning requirements into technical plans, breaking work into achievable sprints, unblocking developers, and making sure every release lands complete, tested, and on time.This is a long-term, Abu Dhabi-based role, embedded on-site with the client and our delivery team. We are hiring someone who intends to build here for years, not months.What you'll ownBackend architecture, API design, and integrations across a portfolio of live systemsServer infrastructure end to end — configuration, environments, deployments, and database administrationTechnical leadership of a delivery squad: code review, engineering standards, mentoring, estimates you stand behindSprint planning with the project manager — scoping requirements, breaking down tasks, assigning work, and tracking delivery to deadlineHands-on delivery across the stack — backend services first, frontend features when the release needs themCoordinating with designers and QA so features move smoothly from spec to tested releaseSecurity, performance, and reliability to enterprise standardsDirect collaboration with client stakeholders alongside our project managersWhat we're looking for9+ years building production software, with 5+ years leading engineersDeep backend expertise across Node.js/TypeScript, PHP/Laravel, and .NET — you are at home in more than one stackStrong command of servers and infrastructure: Linux server configuration, deployments, CI/CD, and database design and administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)Real full-stack ability — comfortable shipping in a modern frontend framework such as React/Next.jsA proven team player — you communicate clearly, keep the project manager informed, and lift the developers around youProfessional proficiency in Arabic and English — required. You will work daily in a bilingual environmentBased in the UAE or ready to relocate to Abu Dhabi — and committed to staying long-termGovernment or enterprise delivery experience is a strong plusAbility to commute/relocate:Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
