Technical Lead / Lead Full Stack DeveloperLocation: Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Salary: Up to £85,000 + benefitsThe RoleWe are working with a forward-thinking technology company in Manchester that is continuing to invest in its engineering function as it scales its cloud-native platform.They are looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Lead Full Stack Developer to provide hands-on technical leadership across a modern Microsoft technology stack. This role combines software engineering, architecture and team leadership, giving you the opportunity to shape technical direction while remaining actively involved in development.Working closely with Product Owners, Developers and stakeholders, you'll lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable enterprise applications, champion engineering best practices, and help evolve a modern Azure-based platform.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using .NET and AngularProvide technical leadership, mentoring and support to a team of software developersCollaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define technical solutions and influence architectureDesign and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using ASP.NET CoreBuild and maintain modern Angular applications using TypeScriptDesign, deploy and maintain cloud-native solutions within Microsoft AzureImplement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM or similar technologiesDrive improvements across CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processesEnsure applications are secure, maintainable and aligned with OWASP best practicesConduct code reviews and promote engineering standards across the development teamWork closely with UI/UX teams to deliver high-quality user experiencesContribute to technical roadmaps, architectural decisions and continuous platform improvementsRequired Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer or Senior Full Stack DeveloperStrong commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NETExperience building modern front-end applications with Angular and TypeScriptStrong knowledge of ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework and RESTful APIsCommercial experience working with Microsoft AzureExperience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault and Entra IDExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM Templates or TerraformExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similarStrong understanding of secure software development and OWASP principlesExperience working within Agile development teamsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholdersA proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for mentoring and improving engineering practicesNice to HaveExperience with DevExpress / DevExtremeExperience working with Azure Functions or event-driven architecturesDocker and containerisation experienceMicroservices architecture experienceExperience with automated testing frameworks such as NUnit or xUnitExperience working within regulated or security-focused environmentsWhat's on OfferSalary up to £85,000 depending on experienceHybrid working - 3 days per week in the Manchester officeOngoing learning and professional developmentOpportunity to influence technical direction and architectureModern Azure-first technology stackCollaborative engineering culture with genuine progression opportunities
