Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Title: Tech LeadLocation: Onshore (United States) or Offshore (India) – Hybrid/Remote based on team and client needsExperience: 8–12 yearsTech Stack: Distributed Systems, AWS (EKS), OpenShift, Automation (CI/CD & IaC), Go, Python, Node.js, AI-Assisted Software DevelopmentRole Overview:We are hiring a Tech Lead to design, develop, and lead the implementation of complex, distributed systems on AWS using Go, Python, and Node.js. The role involves hands-on technical leadership, setting engineering best practices, and driving automation to build scalable, resilient systems. You will work closely with product and client stakeholders and mentor junior engineers while championing AI-assisted development practices.Key Responsibilities:Design & develop high-availability, distributed systems in Go, Python, and Node.js.Set technical direction and engineering best practices for the team.Own AWS infrastructure decisions (scalability, cost, security, resilience) across platforms like EKS & OpenShift.Drive strategy on automation: CI/CD, IaC, testing, and operations.Conduct technical design reviews and implement coding & architecture standards.Mentor engineers and guide their technical growth.Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.Evaluate new tools/technologies to enhance engineering workflows.Required Qualifications:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.8–12 years of software engineering experience with expertise in distributed systems.Proficiency in Go and Python; experience with Node.js in polyglot environments.Hands-on expertise with AWS services, container orchestration (EKS), and Red Hat OpenShift.Strong understanding of distributed systems (e.g., consistency models, fault tolerance, service mesh, etc.).Proven ability to lead small technical teams or projects.Experience with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.AI Knowledge (Mandatory):Experience leveraging AI tools like Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor in coding, testing, and documentation.Understanding of AI/LLM workflows like API integration, RAG, embeddings, and agentic workflows.Ability to implement team-level standards for responsible AI-assisted coding and ensure compliance with data security policies.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the US health insurance/payer domain and awareness of standards like HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI.Prior experience in a client-facing consulting/customer-oriented environment.Why Join Us?Join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge technology to solve real-world challenges.
