Location: London / HybridType: PermanentTech: C# / .NET, Azure, React / TypeScript, APIs, AII’m partnering with an established insurance and financial services organisation that is making a significant investment into its digital capability and is looking to appoint a Digital Engineering Lead.This is a senior, hands on role with the opportunity to help shape and build a new generation of customer and broker facing digital products, including portals, eTrading capabilities, API driven services and AI enabled applications.The environment is highly greenfield and product led, giving you genuine influence over architecture, engineering standards, technology choices and how products are designed and delivered.The RoleYou will work across Engineering, Product and the wider business, with responsibility for:

• Leading the design and delivery of modern digital products and platforms
• Remaining hands on across C# / .NET, Azure, APIs and modern frontend technologies
• Owning solution architecture and key technical design decisions
• Driving API first, cloud native development and systems integration
• Working closely with Product and UX to create excellent customer journeys
• Providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to engineers
• Driving modern engineering practices across CI/CD, testing, security and DevSecOps
• Exploring practical applications of AI assisted engineering tools including Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor and CodexTechnologyC# / .NET | Azure | Azure Functions | React | TypeScript | APIs | Microservices | SQL | Cosmos DB | Docker | CI/CD | Terraform | GitHub | Azure DevOpsExposure to Power Platform, Kubernetes, AI engineering tooling or wider cloud technologies would also be beneficial.What We're Looking ForYou will ideally have:
• 8+ years of software engineering or digital product experience
• Strong hands on C# / .NET and Microsoft Azure experience
• Experience building customer facing digital products
• Strong API, integration and architecture knowledge
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers while remaining hands on
• Strong product thinking with an understanding of UX and customer journeys
• Experience within modern cloud, DevOps and automated delivery environments
