Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our construction team and provide technical leadership across major building projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical function, ensuring effective design coordination, resolving technical challenges, and supporting project teams throughout the construction lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the technical team, providing technical direction and support across projects.Oversee the review, coordination, and implementation of design and engineering requirements.Manage technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and other technical documentation.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, project management teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical matters.Review design and construction documentation to identify technical issues, discrepancies, and potential risks.Provide technical solutions to support efficient project execution and maintain compliance with approved designs and specifications.Lead design coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.Monitor technical approvals and ensure project requirements are achieved within agreed timelines.Provide technical input on constructability, value engineering, design changes, and project requirements.Support Project Managers and senior management in resolving complex technical and construction-related matters.Ensure compliance with applicable UAE regulations, codes, standards, contract requirements, and project specifications.Establish and maintain effective technical procedures and standards across projects.Requirements for the role:12–14 years of relevant experience within the construction industry.Mandatory experience with a Main Contractor / General Contractor.Minimum 4 years of experience in a Technical Manager or equivalent senior technical position.Strong background in building construction and project delivery.Proven experience managing technical teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering functions.Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, technical documentation, and project requirements.Experience working closely with consultants, subcontractors, and project delivery teams.Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and approval processes.Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant engineering discipline.Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.Important: Candidates must have a proven main contracting / construction background. Candidates whose experience is limited to consultancy, design, supervision, or contracting support services will not be considered.
