The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, design coordination, compliance, constructability, and timely resolution of technical matters across projects.The ideal candidate will have strong UAE construction/consultancy experience, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while coordinating effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the technical function across assigned construction and engineering projects.Review and oversee architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering design deliverables.Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and ensure proper integration of technical requirements.Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, calculations, method statements, material submissions, and technical documentation.Ensure designs and technical submissions comply with project specifications, applicable UAE regulations, authority requirements, and relevant standards.Review and resolve technical queries, RFIs, design conflicts, site technical issues, and constructability concerns.Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely technical resolutions.Lead technical meetings and provide clear direction on design and engineering matters.Monitor technical progress and ensure drawings, approvals, and engineering deliverables are completed within project timelines.Review proposed design changes, variations, value-engineering opportunities, and their technical implications.Support project teams during tendering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages.Identify technical risks and provide practical and commercially viable engineering solutions.Ensure proper documentation and control of technical submissions, revisions, approvals, and project records.Liaise with relevant authorities and support the team in obtaining required technical approvals and NOCs.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, coordinators, and other technical team members.Monitor the quality of technical deliverables and ensure adherence to company and project quality standards.Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Commercial teams, QS, Procurement, and senior management.Support senior management with technical assessments, project strategy, resource planning, and technical decision-making.Drive continuous improvement in technical processes, design coordination, project delivery, and engineering standards.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.8+ years of relevant experience, preferably within construction, contracting, engineering consultancy, or project management.Strong UAE construction/engineering consultancy experience is mandatory.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating complex projects.Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority requirements, codes, standards, and approval processes.Strong understanding of design development, construction methodology, technical documentation, and project delivery.Excellent knowledge of drawings, specifications, BOQs, technical submissions, RFIs, and design coordination.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to technical and operational matters.Proficiency in relevant engineering/design software and Microsoft Office.UAE driving licence is an advantage.Preferred ProfileCandidates with experience working across construction, contracting, and engineering consultancy environments will be strongly preferred.We are looking for a technically strong and commercially aware professional who can take ownership of technical matters, lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve complex project issues, and ensure high-quality technical delivery.Interested candidates are invited to apply with their updated CV.
