Technical Manager- Food Manufactory

Company Description Kahraman Agro DMCC is part of a group of companies founded in 1976 that specializes in processing local crops across multiple countries for global food industries. The company provides tailored products and solutions for the snack sector, including nuts such as pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts, with roasting, salting, and seasoning options. It also serves the bakery, ice-cream, and confectionery sectors with semi-processed nut kernels through blanching, dicing, slicing, crushing, and pastes. Kahraman Agro DMCC is a major processor of natural and white hulled sesame seeds, operating large-scale hulling and pasteurization lines validated by independent laboratories to ensure quality and food safety. The company further trades in tahina made from high-quality African sesame seeds and handles pulses (legumes) as part of its broader agricultural portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the site’s Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead the HACCP Team
• Lead the Food Safety & Quality Culture drive.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, BRCGS (or GFSI benchmarked equivalent) and relevant regulations
• Lead and manage all food safety, quality assurance and quality control activities on site
• Oversee hygiene standards, GMP, and factory audits (internal and external)
• Manage and maintain documentation, including SOPs, risk assessments, and traceability records
• Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for and host third-party and customer audits
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality and food safety standards
• Work closely with production and operations teams to drive continuous improvement
• Monitor supplier quality performance
• Manage raw material supplier approval.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Technical Management role within food manufacturing supplying UK supermarkets with their private label products.
• Level 4 HACCP certification
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, BRCGS or equivalent)
• Experienced in audits and certification processes
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Good understanding of UK food safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and organisational skills
• Degree or formal higher-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in at least two High Care / Risk categories in the Food Industry.
