Location: Benghazi, LibyaThe Technical Manager will take overall responsibility for the technical coordination and engineering management of major road and infrastructure projects.The position requires close cooperation with German executive management, project management, consultants, designers, construction teams and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical management of major road, highway and infrastructure projectsReview drawings, specifications, BOQs and technical documentationCoordinate design teams, consultants and site engineering departmentsIdentify technical risks, inconsistencies and constructability issues at an early stageDevelop and review method statements and construction methodologiesProvide technical solutions for earthworks, pavement structures, drainage and road infrastructureCoordinate technical submissions, RFIs and approvals with consultants and clientsControl technical compliance with project specifications and international standardsSupport quantity verification, variation evaluation and technical claimsEnsure coordination between design, surveying, QA/QC and construction teamsOptimize construction methods, materials and technical solutionsSupport procurement in technical evaluation of materials, equipment and subcontractorsEstablish strong technical procedures and engineering standards within InfinityMentor and develop the internal engineering teamReport directly to project and executive managementCandidate ProfileMinimum 12+ years of professional experience in road and infrastructure engineeringMinimum 5 years in a senior technical management positionProven experience with major highway, road or infrastructure projectsStrong expertise in earthworks, pavement, asphalt, drainage and road constructionStrong understanding of drawings, BOQs, specifications and international standardsExperience working with consultants and international engineering companiesStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilityHands-on and implementation-focused personalityExperience in Africa or the MENA region is highly preferredExcellent English communication skills mandatoryArabic is a strong advantageWillingness to relocate to Benghazi, LibyaQualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldProfessional engineering qualification is an advantageStrong knowledge of international road and infrastructure standardsWhat We OfferSenior technical leadership positionMajor road and infrastructure projectsDirect collaboration with German executive managementHigh level of technical responsibility and autonomyInternational working environmentCompetitive salary packageAccommodation and local transportation support in LibyaLong-term career development within the A&O TEC GroupJob Type: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: Benghazi, Libya – In personApplication ProcessPlease submit your CV and relevant project references to:jobs@aotec.de
