About UsAV Concepts is a full service event production company with a long history in corporate, association, trade show, exhibit, staging and properties.The RoleThe Technical Operations Supervisor is a hybrid role that combines advanced technician responsibilities with operational and logistics duties. This position supports property DET’s in managing the day-to-day AV operation at assigned venues while continuing to actively support event execution. This role helps coordinate event logistics, technician assignments, and operational planning while maintaining hands-on technical involvement in events.Requirements3+ years experience in audiovisual event productionStrong technical knowledge across audio, video, lighting, and meeting room systemsReliability, communication, organizational and leadership skillsAccess to reliable transport to travel between assigned venues as required to perform work at multiple venuesAbility to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedulesFootwear meeting ASTM F2413 standardsKey ResponsibilitiesOperational CoordinationAssist DET’s in coordinating daily AV operations within assigned venues.Review event orders and assist in preparing crew pull-sheets, equipment logistics and labor planning.Coordinate event logistics including load-in, setup schedules, and strike timing.Event ExecutionServe as a lead technician on events as required.Oversee equipment setup and ensure events are executed according to plan.Support troubleshooting and technical problem solving during events.Client & Venue CoordinationServe as a technical liaison between AV Concepts, venue staff, and clients.Participate in pre-event planning meetings and venue meetings as required.Ensure client needs and event requirements are clearly communicated to technicians.Systems & DocumentationReview and adjust orders ensuring accuracy in order logistics timing, correct equipment and labor assignments.Training / Staff DevelopmentProvide guidance and direction to technicians during events.Assist with onboarding, training and mentorship of technicians.Models and reinforces a positive working environment centered around company values.Bonus PointsKnowledge of IntelliEvent/Lightning and order writing process is beneficialPerksCompetative salaryMedical, dental, and visionOpportunity for career advancementCollaborative team environment that values multiple perspectives and fresh thinking
