Technical Product Manager – Distributed Ledger Technology (AVP/VP)Location: New York, NYWork Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsiteBase Salary: $140,000–$200,000Bonus: $21,000–$30,000Experience: 6–15+ yearsAbout the RoleA leading financial technology platform focused on alternative investments is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager to help lead the development and growth of its Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform.This role will focus on solving complex industry challenges related to alternative investment data workflows. Working closely with Engineering, Data, Business, Operations, and senior leadership, the Product Manager will help drive initiatives from ideation through implementation while shaping product strategy, data models, APIs, and integrations.The ideal candidate is a technically strong Product Manager with experience in alternative investments, financial services, or fintech, along with hands-on experience working with SQL, data analysis, APIs, and complex integrations.ResponsibilitiesLead product initiatives from ideation through development, implementation, and delivery.Develop and maintain the product roadmap in partnership with business and technology stakeholders.Define and evolve product data models, APIs, integrations, and technical requirements.Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and actionable solutions.Partner closely with Engineering and Data teams to develop scalable and reliable technical solutions.Lead client and third-party integrations, ensuring successful implementation and delivery.Work with Engineering leads to ensure API performance, connectivity, and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.Analyze data to identify opportunities, solve business problems, and inform product decisions.Define data validation and quality requirements across complex workflows.Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, priorities, resources, and stakeholder expectations.Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and key decisions to executive leadership.Identify unmet business and client needs and translate them into product opportunities.Collaborate across Business, Engineering, Data, Operations, Compliance, and other teams to drive initiatives to completion.Mentor and support team members while promoting strong product management and execution practices.Stay informed on competitive, regulatory, legal, and industry developments affecting the product.Contribute to broader strategic initiatives across the organization as needed.Qualifications10-15+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in a technical or data-focused environment.Experience working within Alternative Investments, Asset Management, Private Equity, Private Credit, Hedge Funds, or Financial Technology.Strong experience with SQL and data analysis.Demonstrated experience managing or developing API integrations and working with technical teams on API functionality.Strong understanding of data models, data workflows, integrations, and technical architecture.Proven experience taking products or strategic initiatives from concept through successful delivery.Experience working closely with Engineering, Data, and other technical teams.Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies.Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.Customer-focused mindset with a track record of identifying problems and developing practical solutions.Ability to manage competing priorities and drive initiatives through completion.Experience with data engineering or quantitative technologies is a plus.Experience with blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technology is a plus, but not required.
