With over 6,500 employees and multiple manufacturing bases across China (including Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Suzhou/Kunshan) and Vietnam, they serve global clients across 3C electronics, semiconductors, new-energy, servers, robotics, and medical industries. As they expand their Southeast-Asia-related business footprint, they are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to be based at their Kunshan site with regular travel to their Vietnam factory.As TPM of the Southeast-Asia-focused business, you will act as the core cross-functional bridge linking business, customers, R&D, and manufacturing teams — owning end-to-end delivery for non-standard automation equipment projects, managing customer relations, driving technical-commercial alignment, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality targets.RESPONSIBILITIESManage full-lifecycle non-standard automated equipment projects, including customer relationship management from initial inquiry handling through commercial negotiation and contract execution.Coordinate and align cross-functional resources among project, R&D, assembly, and after-sales teams; lead customer solution reviews, remove execution bottlenecks, and drive steady project progress.Serve as a key liaison across technology, business, and management functions, ensuring R&D initiatives (new-product development, core-technology breakthroughs, software system upgrades, etc.) are completed on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality requirements.Monitor market dynamics to identify potential new business growth points, and contribute to drafting and optimizing the company's strategic development roadmap.Work jointly with technical and commercial teams to finalize project scope, business objectives, technical approaches, and measurable success criteria.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or above in Electronic Information, Automation Control, Mechanical Manufacturing, Industrial Design, or other relevant disciplines.Solid understanding of technical architecture, industry terminology, and R&D workflows, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, with English as the working language; prior hands-on experience in R&D or program management within machinery, electronics, or automation control sectors highly preferred.Strong cross-level communication skills — capable of upward reporting, horizontal stakeholder coordination, and downward team synchronization, translating seamlessly between technical specifications and commercial-oriented business language.Direct working experience within the automation-equipment or related manufacturing industry.Must be willing to be based in Kunshan (Jiangsu, China) and accept frequent business travel to the Vietnam manufacturing plant.HOW TO APPLYSend your updated resume to jane.ooi@gateway-search.com
