Apply & track with Apply EdgeHave you ever thought about building a data centre where the server's location in the room has a material impact on its performance?Or how about delivering infrastructure where nano-second differences in latency are the difference between success and failure? Here you would be leading these types of projects, expanding the capacity and capability of infrastructure co-located within data centres. In a high frequency trading environment, physical infrastructure is your competitive advantage – you’ll be the one thinking 3 steps ahead to stay in front of the competition. You’ll be delivering projects with minimal oversight and the freedom to ‘get stuff done’. You can work directly with your stakeholders without needing layers of process, approvals and documentation to slow you down.To succeed here, you’ve probably led a broad range of infrastructure projects – from data centre expansions and improving global network connectivity, to hardware lifecycle management and platform modernisations.Due to the seniority of the role and need to hit the ground running, you’ll probably have already delivered these types of projects for ‘big tech’ data centres or a hedge fund – although I would be interested to speak to anyone with experience in projects building high performance physical infrastructure. You won’t be hands on with the technology, but being able to understand and translate requirements without needing a BA will be helpful. If you started life as Engineer before becoming a PM, that’s even better. This role is based on site in Amsterdam, with an expected total comp of between €150,000 and €200,000 - however flexibility and relocation are possible for the right person. If you want to work in a job where every millimetre of network cable counts, apply now.No up-to-date CV required.
