You will work closely with engineers, customers, vendors and contractors, attending sites when required and maintaining enough technical understanding to confidently discuss requirements, resolve issues and keep projects moving.You'll work across network infrastructure, switching, firewalls, WiFi and core network services, while also gaining exposure to OT, IoT and smart building environments including BMS, HVAC, CCTV and access control.What You'll Be DoingManage technical projects from planning through to delivery and completion.Coordinate engineers, vendors, contractors and customer stakeholders throughout project delivery.Plan and coordinate network installations, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure refreshes.Support the delivery of switching, WiFi, firewall and network infrastructure projects.Coordinate hardware installations, replacements, racking, stacking, fibre and cabling activities.Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, budgets and technical deliverables.Act as a technical escalation point when issues arise during project delivery.Work directly with customers and site contacts to coordinate technical requirements and project activities.Manage vendors and third party suppliers through project delivery.Review technical requirements and ensure solutions are delivered correctly.Coordinate multi site deployments and infrastructure projects.Produce and maintain as built documentation, configuration records and test results.Ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, timelines and quality standards.Take ownership of project issues and deliverables through to successful completion.Who You AreYou're a technically minded Project Manager who wants to stay close to the technology rather than simply manage a project plan.You may come from a background in Technical Project Management, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, MSP, Systems Integration or technical project delivery.You'll have practical experience across areas such as:Network InfrastructureSwitchingWiFiFirewallsCyber Security & Infrastructure ProjectsWe're looking for someone who is comfortable attending customer sites, speaking with engineers about technical requirements and communicating confidently with customers about project progress and technical issues.You don't need to be the most technically advanced engineer in the room. However, you need to understand the technology, be willing to learn and have enough technical credibility to identify issues, ask the right questions and know when to involve the engineering team.Experience across OT, IoT, BMS, CCTV, access control or smart building environments will be advantageous.What Success Looks LikeTechnical projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.Engineers, vendors, contractors and customers remain well coordinated throughout delivery.Project risks, dependencies and technical issues are identified and managed proactively.Customer expectations are clearly communicated and effectively managed.Network installations, migrations and infrastructure upgrades are delivered successfully.Site activities and technical deployments are coordinated with minimal disruption to customers.Technical documentation, configuration records and as built documentation remain accurate and complete.Issues are escalated appropriately and resolved efficiently.You develop strong knowledge across Syntric's IT, OT and smart building environments.Why Join Syntric?At Syntric, you'll work at the intersection of Networking, Cyber Security, Operational Technology and Smart Buildings.This isn't a traditional project management role.
