As an agency with a full technical production department, we bring together creative thinking and technical expertise to deliver projects from concept through to completion.About the role.Reporting to the Head of Department, you’ll work in our events team specifically part of the technical production division on a variety of exciting event projects for renowned corporate brands.You’ll be responsible for bringing production briefs together and managing projects from initial enquiry through to delivery. This includes understanding client requirements, preparing quotations, obtaining supplier costs, managing detailed budgets, contracting suppliers, and coordinating crew and logistics.Working with all departments, you’ll also help shape designs and technical solutions to ensure they meet the purpose of the event and can be delivered within the available budget.The ideal candidate will be customer focused, commercially minded, confident coordinating teams and suppliers, and have a solid understanding of live event production technologies. Experience across all production disciplines would be an advantage, but we will also consider candidates with strengths in multiple areas.This role could suit an experienced technician ready to progress into project management who can demonstrate the required planning and commercial skills, or an existing project manager seeking a new challenge.You’ll often work on several projects at the same time, so you must be highly organised, comfortable working to tight deadlines and accurate in your attention to detail. We are a close knit, family run business with a strong work ethic and the ability to have a lot of fun!Key responsibilitiesDevelop initial enquiries into clear production briefs, identifying client objectives, technical requirements, budgets and timescalesManage production projects of varying sizes from initial brief through planning, delivery and completionPrepare client quotations and proposals, obtaining supplier prices and building detailed project costingsManage budgets throughout each project, keeping costs accurate and up to date and identifying the impact of any changes.Contribute creative ideas and influence designs and technical solutions to suit the project’s purpose and budgetSource and coordinate event suppliers, agree costs and manage supplier contractingPlan and coordinate crew and freelancers, providing clear briefs, schedules and responsibilitiesManage production logistics, including equipment, transport, travel, accommodation and venue arrangements as requiredMaintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, venues, suppliers and other third partiesWork alongside our production team to oversee onsite delivery at venues across the UKRequirementsA minimum of ‘five years’ experience gained within the events or live production industryStrong knowledge of live event production and relevant technical equipment and softwareExperience across all production disciplines would be an advantage; strengths in multiple disciplines will also be consideredThe ability to turn an enquiry into a clear, practical and fully costed production brief or proposalIdeally but not essential, Experience in preparing quotations and proposals, assessing supplier costs and managing detailed budgetsExperience managing clients, event suppliers, freelancers and other third partiesStrong planning skills, including coordinating crew and production logisticsA creative, practical mindset, with the ability to develop solutions that meet client needs and budgetsOnsite management and support to the extended events teamThe ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking direction and feedback effectivelyStrong communication skills and the ability to manage several projects to tight deadlinesCAD experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be providedFlexibility to work at venues across the UK according to project requirements.A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essentialInterested?If you’re looking to work with a likeable team of people who are hugely passionate about what they do, and where going above and beyond is part of how we work, then you’re looking in the right place!LinkedIn: MarickInstagram: @madebymarickTo apply, please send a covering letter and CV to dave@maricklive.co.uk.Suitable candidates will be invited to an initial virtual meeting and, if successful, an in-person interview.
