Technical Project Manager – Live Event Technology (Lighting, Audio or Video)Location: 25 minutes from Central LondonWorking Pattern: Hybrid (available after 2 months training) – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)We provide an initial on-site period to ensure full immersion in our processes, team culture, and delivery standards before transitioning to hybrid working.Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (core hours)Please note: Live events operate 24/7, and occasional out-of-hours work will be required to support project delivery.About YouYou are a technically skilled, solutions-driven project leader who thrives in the energy of live events. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where creativity meets precision.You won’t simply manage timelines—you will help shape client ideas into fully engineered technical solutions, then lead the delivery on-site to bring those experiences to life.Working across lighting, audio, and video systems, you will ensure seamless integration of technologies across a wide range of high-profile events, upholding our commitment to creativity, passion, and technical excellence.What You’ll Be DoingYou will take ownership of projects from initial brief through to final delivery, acting as the key technical lead throughout.Build strong relationships with clients through clear, confident communication (both in-person and remotely)Translate client briefs into technical solutions by asking the right questions and identifying core objectivesCollaborate with internal teams to develop creative and technically robust responses to briefsProduce accurate quotations, proposals, and technical solutions aligned with client needs and budget constraintsSupport clients in refining briefs to ensure optimal delivery outcomesLead and motivate technical teams across multiple concurrent projectsCreate technical documentation including equipment specifications, plots, and supporting paperworkOversee on-site delivery, coordinating lighting, audio, and video departmentsManage logistics, budgets, and resource planning across projectsAdapt quickly to changing requirements while maintaining clear team alignment and delivery standardsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong professional experience in live event production or technical project deliveryDeep expertise in one core discipline: lighting, audio, or videoBroad working knowledge of the other technical disciplinesStrong understanding of system design and on-site implementationExperience producing technical drawings and documentation (AutoCAD proficiency desirable)Familiarity with rental management and event planning softwareConfidence managing budgets, logistics, and commercial aspects of projectsStrong client-facing skills with the ability to interpret and challenge briefs constructivelyCalm, organised approach under pressure in fast-paced live environmentsA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be highly advantageous.For more information reach out to Louise Wright Director Event Recruitment
