Its open-source technology has achieved significant developer adoption and is being used to support production AI applications across large enterprises.The business raised a $19M Series A, bringing total funding to approximately $27.5M, and is backed by leading venture investors. This is still an early-stage environment where individual hires have significant visibility and impact.The OpportunityThis person will join as the first/founding Technical Sourcer, working closely with the Head of Talent, recruiters, and technical hiring leaders.This is not a sourcing coordinator or recruiting-operations role. The team is looking for an experienced hands-on individual contributor who genuinely enjoys finding exceptional technical talent and wants ownership of sourcing strategy.You’ll help build pipelines across:• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning• Research Engineering• Software Engineering• Applied AI / Applied Science• Product and other highly technical functionsWhat You’ll Do• Develop sourcing strategies for AI, ML, research, software engineering, and technical product roles• Identify and engage high-caliber passive candidates• Partner directly with recruiters and hiring managers to refine target profiles• Build competitive talent maps and long-term pipelines• Source through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, professional communities, research networks, Gem, and other channels• Evaluate candidates for technical relevance, motivations, and potential fit• Write highly personalized candidate outreach• Track sourcing conversion, response rates, and pipeline performance• Experiment with AI-assisted recruiting tools and new sourcing methodologies• Provide market intelligence to recruiting and hiring leadership• Help establish sourcing processes, tools, and best practices as the company scalesMUST-HAVES / DEALBREAKERS3+ years of technical sourcing experience, with meaningful experience sourcing areas such as:• AI / ML• Software Engineering• Research Engineering• Applied Science or similarly technical talentIn-house technical sourcing experience is required.You should have experience:• Directly engaging passive candidates• Partnering with recruiters and hiring managers• Translating technical requirements into sourcing strategies• Reviewing and calibrating candidate profiles with hiring teams• Building searches and pipelines rather than simply processing inbound applicantsThe strongest backgrounds will come from high-growth technology startups, particularly companies operating in AI, infrastructure, developer tools, or highly technical software environments.Experience at companies similar to Cursor, Vercel, Harvey, or other high-growth startups is particularly relevant.Candidates coming from Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple or other major technology companies can also be compelling if they are specifically motivated to move into a smaller, faster-moving startup environment.Equally ImportantYou must be:• Hands-on — this is an individual contributor role• Proactive and action-oriented• Comfortable building processes without being given detailed instructions• Highly curious and eager to learn• Resourceful when traditional sourcing methods aren't producing results• Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly• Motivated by ownership and measurable outcomesNice to HaveExperience with:• Ashby• LinkedIn Recruiter• Gem• Juicebox• GitHub sourcing• AI-assisted recruiting tools• Talent intelligence / market mapping• Open-source or AI research communitiesA Bachelor’s degree is expected, with a strong academic background considered a plus.Why Consider It?This is an opportunity to become the first dedicated Technical Sourcer at a well-funded Series A AI company while the recruiting organization is still being built.
