Please review thoroughly before submitting your application.※Company OverviewA global materials and technology company is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support semiconductor customers in the U.S. The organization supplies advanced materials used in semiconductor manufacturing and works closely with customers and overseas technical teams on product performance, quality, and applications.Position SummaryThe Technical Sales Engineer combines customer-facing sales with hands-on technical and quality support for semiconductor materials, including lithography-related materials. Approximately 30% of the role focuses on sales and 70% on technical/quality support. The position supports existing major semiconductor customers, develops new business opportunities, and serves as a technical liaison between customers, overseas headquarters, and manufacturers.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and strengthen relationships with existing semiconductor customers.Provide technical and quality support for semiconductor and lithography-related materials, including onsite troubleshooting and fab visits.Discuss semiconductor manufacturing processes, photolithography, photoresist, product evaluation results, and technical issues with customers.Investigate customer issues onsite, report findings to overseas technical teams, and communicate solutions and feedback to customers.Identify and develop new customers, applications, and sales opportunities.Prepare quotations and proposals; conduct price negotiations and manage delivery schedules and project progress.Conduct market and competitive research to identify business opportunities.Coordinate logistics, shipments, inventory-related activities, and occasional freight issue resolution.Research regulatory requirements related to chemical imports, shipments, and product returns to Japan.Coordinate customer needs, evaluation results, and quality concerns with overseas headquarters and manufacturers.Use internal operations/logistics systems to manage product and shipment information.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree or higher.Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or another technical field; Chemical Engineering or Materials Science strongly preferred.1–3+ years of semiconductor industry experience in process engineering, applications engineering, technical sales, field applications, semiconductor materials, or a related function.Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes; photolithography and photoresist knowledge strongly valued.Professional English communication skills.Ability to conduct technical discussions with semiconductor customers and translate technical issues into actionable solutions.Strong customer service, technical communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and project coordination skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Valid driver's license.Ability to travel approximately one-third of the month, including in-state and out-of-state travel.PreferredJapanese language ability, particularly for technical coordination with Japan-based teams.Chinese language ability.Experience supporting semiconductor fabs and resolving onsite technical or quality issues.Experience with semiconductor materials, lithography processes, or related chemical products.Ability to work independently and effectively across cultures and international teams.Other DetailsPrimarily office-based with visits to customer fabs, manufacturing facilities, and third-party warehouses.Occasional travel to logistics facilities may be required for shipment or quality issue resolution.International training in Japan or Taiwan may be required.May accompany visiting overseas technical personnel to customer facilities.Performance bonus available; approximately one month of compensation may serve as a general reference.PTO: up to 13 days in years 1–2, 14 days in year 3, and 15 days after 4+ years.Relocation assistance may be considered and negotiated individually.※This role may include additional responsibilities as needed based on business needs.※
