It brings procurement, sourcing, supplier onboarding and verification, purchase orders and goods receipt, invoice capture and approvals, expense management, maintenance work orders and the accounting behind them into one connected system, so finance, procurement and operations teams can see and control what the organization spends.We are an early-stage company, and this is one of our first commercial hires. You will work directly with the founder and the product and implementation teams, own opportunities from first conversation to signed agreement, and shape how we sell and what we build next. The role is based in Abuja, hybrid, with regular in-person time with the team and customers, and occasional travel within Nigeria for customer meetings.What you will do
- Build and manage a pipeline of mid-market and enterprise opportunities across procurement, finance and operations teams, starting in Nigeria.
- Run discovery with CPOs, CFOs, heads of procurement, financial controllers and operations leaders, and map how their procure-to-pay process actually works today.
- Demonstrate Calabash workflows, from supplier onboarding and requisition-to-purchase-order through goods receipt, invoice approval, expense claims and maintenance work orders, and explain how they fit alongside existing ERP, accounting and banking systems.
- Build tailored proposals, pricing and business cases with the product and implementation teams.
- Lead evaluations, pilots, security and procurement reviews, contract negotiation and the handover to implementation.
- Keep the CRM accurate, forecast honestly and bring structured customer feedback to the product team.
- Represent Calabash at industry events, partner meetings and customer sites.What you bring
- At least three years of B2B software or complex technology sales, with examples of deals you helped close as the lead seller.
- Working knowledge of procurement, ERP or finance systems, supplier operations, or maintenance and CMMS processes.
- Strong discovery, presentation, proposal writing and stakeholder management skills, including multi-stakeholder deals that run over several months.
- The ability to discuss integrations, data migration and security questions with technical teams without needing to write code.
- Disciplined pipeline management in a CRM and clear written English.
- A practical, self-directed approach: you build relationships, create your own opportunities and move deals forward without waiting to be told.
- Based in Abuja or able to relocate, comfortable with hybrid work, and legally authorized to work in Nigeria.Nice to have
- Experience selling or implementing in Sage, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks or Odoo environments.
- An existing network among Nigerian mid-market and enterprise finance, procurement or operations leaders.
- Experience selling into manufacturing, construction, logistics, FMCG distribution, healthcare or other asset-heavy businesses.
- Time at an early-stage SaaS or fintech company.Compensation and benefits
- Base salary plus performance-based commission. We share the range in the first conversation.
