Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client, a major Oil & Gas company is looking to hire a Technical Sales Support Engineer to be based in Saudi ArabiaThe Technical Sales Support Engineer will drive installed-base aftermarket, spare parts and brownfield business development across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, focusing on GOSP, oil & gas, refineries, petrochemical and seawater facilities.The role will leverage organizations installed base as a strategic door opener to facilities, developing trusted customer relationships, understanding operational challenges and converting identified needs into opportunities across the broad PTS (Process Technologies & Solutions) lifecycle-services portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesInstalled Base & Spare PartsOwn and develop the legacy Cameron installed base, identifying aftermarket, upgrade, replacement, service and lifecycle opportunities.Drive spare-parts business for the Geounit and ensure customers maintain appropriate and up-to-date spare-parts inventories.Review installed equipment and customer spare-parts requirements, identify obsolete, discontinued or at-risk components, and proactively implement organizations spares obsolescence/replacement programs.Develop installed-base strategies to increase equipment reliability, availability and lifecycle value.Customer & Facility EngagementEstablish a strong network across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Procurement and Projects.Understand facility procurement routes, decision makers, specifications, approved-vendor requirements and purchasing processes.Conduct regular facility visits to understand operations, troubleshoot issues and identify customer pain points.Use the installed base as a door opener to expand the organizations relationships within the facility.Technical Assessment & Solution DevelopmentObtain necessary technical, operational and process data from clients.Compile, validate, structure and analyze data to understand facility conditions, equipment performance, operational challenges and root causes.Work closely with the organizations fleet of technical experts, subject-matter experts and technology domains to obtain specialist advice and support solution development.Translate customer problems into practical, value-driven solutions, including cross-division capabilities where applicable.Prepare technical reports, assessments, studies and presentations documenting findings, analysis, recommendations and proposed solutions.Present findings and recommendations directly to client engineering, operations, maintenance and management teams.Develop a strong understanding of the diversity of the brownfield and lifecycle-services portfolio, including:Spare parts & obsolescence managementInternals replacement and upgradesEquipment upgrades and retrofitProcess and performance studiesDebottlenecking studiesRetrofit and revamp studiesOperations & Maintenance contractsMaintenance support and installation servicesTurnaround and inspection support/servicesMaintenance contractsLaboratory and analytical servicesEquipment optimization and lifecycle solutionsIdentify opportunities where multiple services can be combined to address broader customer requirements.Focus on brownfield facilities, debottlenecking, reliability improvement, lifecycle extension and operational performance.Commercial & Market DevelopmentSupport technical proposals, tenders, workshops and customer presentations through commercial handover.Work closely with various regions, technical experts and HQ to develop opportunities and achieve KPIs.Maintain market and competitive intelligence across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.Participate in conferences, workshops and technical events to strengthen SLB's market visibility.Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering.5+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, water/seawater or process industries.Facility operations, maintenance, reliability or engineering experience is highly desirable.Strong capability in data collection, analysis, technical problem solving and report preparation.Strong customer-facing, networking and consultative-sales skills.Engineering/process simulation/design/equipment-sizing software experience is an advantage.Existing relationships with major KSA/Bahrain operators, EPCs or engineering organizations are advantageous.Candidates from OEM/technology organizations are encouraged to apply.Success in the RoleThe successful candidate will combine technical expertise, field presence, data analysis, customer intimacy and commercial awareness to transform the organizations installed-base footprint into sustainable spares, aftermarket, brownfield and lifecycle-services growth across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
