Technical Solutions ArchitectSalary: £80,000 - £100,000Location: Hybrid - LondonAbout the RoleThis is an opportunity to grow into a senior technical leadership position with a team building next-generation infrastructure for regulated financial markets.You'll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and client delivery, helping evolve the architecture of a ledger-based post-trade platform. Expect a fast learning curve across technology, regulation, and market structure.What You'll DoArchitecture & System DesignDesign secure, scalable distributed systems for regulated environmentsDefine and evolve system architecture, APIs, and integration patternsApply sound software design patterns and architectural principlesContribute to decisions on ledger and smart contract designBuild in auditability, resilience, and operational robustness from the outsetDistributed Ledger & Digital AssetsWork directly with distributed ledger technology and smart contractsHelp design models covering tokenised and natively digital assetsWork on atomic settlement, and DvP/RvP settlement mechanismsExplore integration concepts for central bank digital currenciesWeigh up trade-offs between on-chain and off-chain componentsFinancial Services ContextTranslate regulatory and market-structure requirements into technical designBuild a working understanding of settlement models and post-trade infrastructureOperate within relevant compliance frameworks (e.g. data and securities regulation)Engineering & DeliveryWrite production-quality code (Java, JavaScript, Solidity, SQL)Review code and help set engineering best practiceImprove CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, and observabilityCommunication & InfluenceExplain complex technical ideas clearly to engineers, product, clients, and regulators where relevantAdapt your message to different audiencesUse structured, persuasive communication to increase the impact of the technologyContribute to technical documentation and client-facing materialsWhat You'll BringTechnicalA track record designing and building software productsSolid grounding in distributed systems principlesHands-on experience with distributed ledgers and/or blockchain platformsFamiliarity with tokenisation and digital asset conceptsStrong API design skills (REST, event-driven architecture, etc.)Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Solidity, and SQLFinancial Services Knowledge Understanding of post-trade processesFamiliarity with securities depositories, DvP/RvP models, and atomic settlementAn appreciation of the regulatory constraints around financial infrastructureCommunication & Leadership PotentialExcellent written and verbal communicationComfortable adjusting technical depth for different audiencesStructured, persuasive thinkerComfortable operating with ambiguityGenuine ambition to grow into a Technical Solutions Architect roleOwnership mindset and resilience suited to a fast-moving, early-stage environment
