About the roleThe SME will act as a functional and technical authority on electronic payment processes, supporting the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of payment solutions. The detailed job description is outlined below for your reference.We are looking for profiles with strong expertise in electronic payments (issuing, acquiring, switching), solid functional–technical skills, and hands-on experience with complex payment platforms.Shift timings: 9am to 6pm UAE timingsContract duration: 6 monthsJOB MISSIONAs part of the design, development, and delivery of HPS electronic payment solutions, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) acts as a functional–technical authority on payment processes.The role bridges business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that payment functionalities are accurately translated into functional specifications, technical designs, and configurable rules in compliance with industry standards, regulatory constraints, and platform architecture.JOB OBJECTIVES1. Business & Functional ExpertiseAnalyze and formalize client business requirements related to electronic payments (issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing, settlement).Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications aligned with PowerCARD architecture and capabilities.Interpret complex client inputs (process flows, regulatory constraints, schemes rules) and convert them into structured, implementable functional models.Act as a reference point for payment business logic, transaction lifecycles, and exception handling.2. Functional-Technical Alignment & Implementation SupportEnsure functional specifications are technically consistent with system architecture, data models, and integration patterns.Validate alignment between functional design and technical design (interfaces, APIs, batch flows, parameterization, rules engines).Support development teams during:Coding of payment workflows and business rulesConfiguration of PowerCARD modulesDefinition of data mappings and processing logicContribute to impact analysis for enhancements, regulatory changes, and new scheme requirements.3. Testing, Validation & Delivery SupportParticipate in functional testing phases (SIT, UAT, non-regression), ensuring:Compliance with client requirementsConsistency with payment standards and scheme rulesReview test scenarios, test cases, and test results to validate end-to-end payment flows.Support issue analysis and resolution during testing and go-live phases.4.
