As the partner of choice in the Kingdom of high-speed passenger ferries and landing craft, we deliver safe, reliable and customer focussed services to all our clients leveraging our history, experience and expertise.About the RoleThe role involves leading, managing, and supervising the maintenance team, ensuring effective teamwork, high morale, and skill development while overseeing the repair, maintenance, and servicing of all marine equipment.ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and supervise the maintenance team.Manage and oversee the repair, maintenance, and servicing of all marine equipment, including engines, deck machinery, and electrical systems.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and environmental management policies and procedures.Oversee the technical operations and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Plan, schedule, and supervise routine maintenance, dry-docking, and emergency repairs.Conduct regular inspections of vessels to assess condition and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Develop and manage budgets for vessel maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures.Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other national/international regulations.Monitor vessel performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to vessel engineering staff, identifying and supporting high-potential crew.Liaise with suppliers and the dry dock superintendent to ensure timely procurement of parts and services.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies and procedures.Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate pricing for spare parts as required.Act as the primary technical contact during emergencies and coordinate response efforts.Prepare and submit detailed technical reports to senior management.Assist with other operational/technical duties to support the Business Unit as requested.Ensure compliance with PMS system, both at vessels and project level.Assist with other duties to support the Business Unit as requested.QualificationsRelevant educational background in marine engineering or a related field.Experience with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL regulations.Technical expertise in vessel performance metrics.Strong negotiation skills with vendors.Required SkillsStrong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of marine equipment and maintenance practices.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Proficient in budget management and cost-control measures.Ability to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
