Technical Superintendent

We are looking for a visionary professional to join EMA Ship Management and elevate our global technical operations and technical performance! Based in Dubai, UAE , we are seeking a talented Technical Superintendent to lead our international team.Role Description & Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the technical performance, maintenance, and operational efficiency of managed vessels.Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and international maritime regulatory standards.Coordinate drydocking and repair activities while closely monitoring vessel condition and performance.Manage and optimize budgets related to maintenance and lifecycle costs.Collaborate closely with technical department , procurement department, senior seafarers and commercial teams to align technical operations with commercial and investment objectives.Lead technical improvement initiatives, support inspections and audits, and provide guidance on risk mitigation and long-term asset reliability.Candidate QualificationsStrong analytical skills to evaluate vessel performance, maintenance data, lifecycle costs, and technical risks.Proven team management capabilities, including leading technical staff, coordinating with crew, and fostering effective cross functional collaboration.Hands on experience in technical support for marine assets, including troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and compliance with international maritime regulations.Background must have Chief Engineer or Second Engineer and Technical Superintendent experience in shipping companiesDemonstrated project management skills for overseeing drydocking, repair projects, and technical upgrade programs within time and budget constraints.Relevant degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related technical discipline; professional maritime certifications are an advantage.Experience in international ship management or maritime operations, preferably within a performance driven and investment focused environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.If you are ready to take a global step in your career and become a part of the EMA Ship Management family, please apply directly through the job posting or reach out via LinkedIn or send your resume to info@emaship.com
