Technical Support Engineer (Protection Engineering)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting and troubleshooting our product to resolve our customers' technical issues.ResponsibilitiesSystem Oversight: Manage and maintain protection devices, including IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices), for the BESS containers, power conversion systems (PCS), and the HV substation.Settings & Logic: Review and implement protection settings, logic diagrams, and coordination studies (Overcurrent, Distance, Differential, etc.)Testing & Commissioning: Lead or supervise secondary injection testing, CT/VT testing, and functional trip tests.Fault Analysis: Conduct root-cause analysis for any protection trips or system disturbances and provide technical reports to the clientClient Interface: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client regarding protection schemes. You must be able to justify settings and schemes during technical meetings.Address technical issues on site in a timely manner to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.Responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of energy storage systems on siteNeed to obey the work arrangement of the site leaderQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringAt least 1+ years' of direct experience in protection and control engineeringStrong technical support and troubleshooting skillsFluent in EnglishRequired knowledge & Technical skills in Protection Relays (Siemens/ABB/GE/SEL), Substation Protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3), knowledge for protection requirements for the battery systems, proficiency in related softwares (ETAP etc.)
