Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Title: Technical Systems Engineer (medical device/R&D)Contract: 12-month contractLocation: Onsite Skaneateles NYPR: $52/hrJob DescriptionService EngineerSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMWork Model: 2–3 days onsite; occasional travel (approximately twice during the project)Job Summary:The Service Engineer will support domestic and international R&D teams by developing service processes, documentation, training, and workflows for product delivery, installation, support, and servicing. The role will provide hands-on technical support, including Tier 3 escalations, deployments, upgrades, and post-market support.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain service engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.Create and deliver training for Tier 1/2 support teams, Solution Architects, and service teams.Support product deployments, configurations, upgrades, and customer escalations.Provide Tier 3 technical support and participate in strategic customer engagements.Collaborate with R&D, product owners, internal teams, and external partners in a matrix environment.Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and IEC requirements and design-control processes.Support system requirements decomposition and identify service/process improvements.Lead technical teams and communicate issues, risks, and solutions effectively.Required Qualifications:4-5 years of relevant technical/R&D experience.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and computer management skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Experience with tracking/project tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, train others, and remain calm under pressure.Willingness and ability to travel as needed.Preferred: Cloud solution experience, relevant certifications, and prior service engineering experience.
