Our innovative solutions are designed to generate value from paying bills.Role Description We are looking for a senior software architect to join us as a Technical Team Lead. The successful candidate is a bridge between business vision and technical execution. This role has four main responsibility areas:1) Architecture2) Technical Leadership3) Cloud Resource configuration4) SecurityArchitectureThe Technical Team Lead will be responsible for application architecture strategy and execution. This includes:Guidance and oversight of high level designInteraction of software components (both internal and external)Guidance and oversight of database designGuidance and oversight of application performanceTechnical LeadershipThe Technical Team Lead will provide guidance and leadership to the overall development team using Agile/SCRUM methodologies. The Senior Architect will support the team by:Performing Code reviewsMeasuring and improving code and unit testing qualityProviding Technical assistance (issue resolution)Identifying and reviewing continuous improvementHandle ad-hoc complex mattersCloud Resource ManagementThe Technical Team Lead will be responsible for our cloud resource strategy. This includes overseeing:High level design and configuration of Azure resourcesOngoing management of Azure resourcesPerformance measurement and optimisationCost measurement and optimisationSecurityThe Technical Team Lead must have deep expertise and understanding of best practices related to security. This role will have oversight of the following:Enduring PCI compliance standards and processes are included in software deliveryManagement of processes related to third party software patching, including Identification and remediation of vulnerabilitiesScheduling and coordinating remediation from external penetration testsFostering a “security first” mindset within our development processRequired ExperienceAustralian resident - Candidates must currently reside in Australia and have full, immediate work rights. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or relocation support.Minimum 15 year working experience in software developmentPrevious experience leading a software development teams using Agile/SCRUM is essentialMandatory SkillsMicrosoft C# .NET - must be an expert in C#Javascript - must be an expert in AngularDatabase - extensive RDBMS experience with Microsoft SQL Server (preferably Azure SQL Database)Azure - extensive experience using Microsoft Azure is mandatoryUnit Testing - Extensive experience in creating and maintaining unit tests is mandatory. Previous experience in leading teams’ unit testing approaches is preferredPreferred SkillsPrevious experience using our application lifecycle platform, Azure DevOps is preferredPrevious experience using CI/CD based upon Azure Pipelines is preferredPrevious experience in obtaining PCI DSS certification is desirableSoftware Development experience with modern languages, frameworks, and APIs, preferably in payments or fintech environmentsStrong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across systems and integrationsProject Management capabilities to plan, prioritize, and deliver technical initiatives on time and within scopeExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceDemonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote productivity
