If you're passionate about aerospace engineering and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, this is a rare opportunity to combine hands-on engineering expertise with technical instruction, whilst travelling throughout the UK and Europe.You will likeThe Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor job itself where you will become the subject matter expert responsible for delivering engaging, practical training on highly engineered aerospace products to maintenance personnel and customer organisations.This is far more than a classroom-based training role. You'll combine technical expertise, practical demonstrations and customer interaction whilst continually improving training materials and helping maintain the highest standards of product support. Key responsibilities include:Deliver technical training courses at company facilities and customer sites across the UK & EuropePrepare lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises and assessmentsManage day-to-day course administration and post-course reportingMaintain training equipment, tooling and support hardwareDevelop and continuously improve training materials and instructional methodsDesign new course content where requiredProvide technical support and guidance to customersSupport wider engineering activities including field service and technical investigations where appropriateA detailed job description is available upon application.You will haveTo be successful as a Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor, you will have a good mix of the following:Aerospace engineering background gained within civil or military aviationStrong hands-on engineering and maintenance experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience using engineering tools and test equipmentExcellent presentation and communication skillsConfident delivering technical information to engineers and customersStrong IT skills including Microsoft OfficeHigh attention to detail and professional standardsHNC in Engineering or equivalent practical engineering experienceTraining or instructional qualification (DIT, PTLLS, EAT Level 3 or similar) advantageousYou will getAs Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor, you will enjoy a salary of £45,000–£50,000 + Package, including:Non-contributory pension scheme (minimum 9%)Life assurancePrivate Healthcare cash plan including optical & dental coverEquivalent of 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidaysLunchtime finish every FridayChildcare vouchers (salary sacrifice)On-site occupational health teamAnnual appraisal and personal development programmeExcellent working environment including heavily subsidised canteenOpportunity to travel throughout the UK and EuropeLong-term career development with one of Britain's most respected aerospace companiesYou can applyTo Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor by pushing the button on this job posting (recommended), or by sending your CV in confidence to anthony@macstaff.co.uk
