Position Summary: The Technical Training & Curriculum Specialist is responsible for supporting our current US training program, along with the development and implementation of future training programs that enhance the skills of our sales team, distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders. The Technical Training & Curriculum Specialist will have extensive experience in development, design and delivering engaging technically challenging content. They will understand sales techniques, and a high emotional quotient (EQ) to foster an enthusiastic and impactful approach to training. This role requires a specialist who is fluent in the latest training concepts to ensure learning methods are most effective for long-term growth within our organization. This role will collaborate with product managers, engineers, technical support, and members of the sales team to create world-class content, engage in roundtable discussions on new technologies, new products, and customer projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Product Managers, Sales, Engineering, Technical Support, and other subject matter experts to identify business needs and design appropriate learning solutions.Design, develop and deliver technical training programs for sales teams, distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders focused on industrial automation, connectivity, products, applications, and solutions.Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot technical demonstration equipment used for classroom instruction, customer education, and other learning activities.Deliver training with enthusiasm, be involved, listen to and understand audience ensure workforce readiness for sales team/distributor sales teams, product knowledge, and customer satisfaction.A strong knowledge of adult learning theory and demonstrate an ability to translate complex content into clear, understandable material.Facilitate training through multiple formats, including instructor-led classroom sessions, hands-on workshops and laboratories, virtual training, recorded demonstrations, and discussion-based learning.Develop and maintain training curricula, presentations, technical demonstrations, laboratory exercises, assessments, certifications, learning paths, and supporting materials.Conduct post training follow-up and evaluate participant feedback, assessments, engagement, and other indicators to measure training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Conduct training needs assessments and gather stakeholder feedback to identify knowledge gaps and align learning initiatives with company strategy, product roadmaps, customer needs, and sales objectives.Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, CFR 1910 OSHA) as well as Company policies and procedures.Responsible for notifying your direct supervisor, manager, and/or a member of the Executive Staff of any risks associated with the Quality Management System.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education & Experience RequirementsMinimum High School Diploma or GED.Advanced education in fields such as Education, Engineering, or Business is preferred.Minimum five-years instructional design experience developing and delivering impactful adult professional development.Experience developing and delivering technical training programs, curriculum, certifications, or learning paths for adult learners in the manufacturing industry is preferred.Strong storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire technical and non-technical audiences.Experience facilitating classroom, workshop, hands-on laboratory, virtual, and discussion-based learning environments preferred.Hands-on experience with industrial connectivity equipment or products is advantageous.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Work, Excel, and Teams.Knowledge and experience with AI preferred.Knowledge & Ability RequirementsStrong skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, troubleshooting, decision making, organization, and completing projects on timeExperience in teaching technical content; electronics and/or industrial networking or automation training experience preferred.Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.Working knowledge of adult learning principles with the ability to adapt training approaches to different audiences.Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with customers, sales teams, technical experts, and stakeholders.Creative, hands-on mindset with the ability to develop and improve technical demonstrations and learning experiences.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.Self-motivated with a passion for developing others, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.Physical & Travel RequirementsTravel up to 25% to support customer, distributor, sales, and other training as required.Frequently remain in a stationary position while working at a computer or preparing training materials.Ability to stand and facilitate instruction for extended periods during classroom, laboratory, or hands-on training sessions.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, including demo equipment, training materials, collateral, etc.Manual dexterity and mobility necessary to assemble, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot technical demonstration equipment and training models.Frequently perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with typing, writing, computer use, equipment configuration, and building or updating demonstrations.Occasionally move throughout the office, training, manufacturing, and warehouse environments as required to perform job duties.Compensation Transparency: The expected compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually and is provided in good faith at the time of posting.
