Location: San Jose, CA – Hybrid (3 days onsite) / Remote within the U.S.Experience: 7+ yearsMust be Ex-CiscoWe are looking for a Senior Technical Writer with strong experience in networking and security products to join our client's technical communications team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own complex documentation initiatives for security products
• Create installation guides, release notes, and user documentation
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Support teams
• Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content
• Review and update existing documentation
• Mentor junior technical writers
• Develop documentation standards and templates
• Create AI-ready content for improved search and information discovery

Required Skills

• 7+ years of technical writing experience in networking/security products
• Previous Cisco experience – Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and networking concepts
• Experience with Oxygen XML, Markdown, or similar authoring tools
• Jira or similar project management tools
• Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS
• Strong cross-functional communication and editing skills
