HEPCO is seeking an experienced Technician III for our client. This position will perform electro-mechanical assembly of microelectronic products and support equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.The Technician will work from engineering drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions to complete electronic and mechanical assembly operations. The position also supports engineers in the development, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems and components.Candidates must be available to work additional hours, including weekends, when required.Perform developmental and production assembly operations involving electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for ordnance systems.Assemble microelectronic products and related support equipment.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and sketches.Follow written and verbal work instructions.Assist engineers with mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components.Conduct tests using oscilloscopes, meters, and other electronic test equipment.Record test results and prepare test report data.Perform precision micro- and nanoscale fabrication, assembly, and testing with a focus on near-zero defects.Use electrical assembly tools, hand tools, and electronic test equipment safely and effectively.Support troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.Communicate feedback to support design, fabrication, and testing improvements.Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety requirements and policies.Required QualificationsTwo-year technical degree or at least three years of related technician experience in a production or prototype environment.Experience in a precision manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.Proficiency with electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.Strong mechanical aptitude.Precision and fine motor skills required for micro- and nanoscale fabrication, assembly, and testing.J-STD-001 certification or working knowledge of its requirements.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.Preferred QualificationsTwo-year technical degree and at least three years of related technician experience in a production or prototype environment.Experience operating Cirris or other automated test equipment.Experience troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical systems.Training or proficiency in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 manufacturing and quality requirements.Basic understanding of 3D CAD software.Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Benefits:Health Insurance401k Pay Range: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)  By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
