Candidates joining the company will work with modern home automation technologies in a fast-developing market.Role Description The Technician-Smart Home role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The technician will install, configure, test, and maintain smart home systems, including controllers, sensors, cameras, lighting and shading solutions, and related network components. Daily tasks include performing site surveys, wiring and hardware setup, system integration, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing basic user training to clients on system operation and mobile applications. The role also involves documenting installations, reporting technical findings, coordinating with project managers and suppliers, and ensuring work complies with safety and quality standards. The technician is expected to deliver reliable, customer-focused service and support for both new projects and ongoing maintenance.QualificationsTechnical skills in smart home devices and systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of controllers, sensors, cameras, lighting, and shading solutions.Good understanding of basic electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and home networking (Wi-Fi routers, switches, IP addressing).Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, perform system testing, and ensure stable integrations between different smart platforms.Strong customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, train users, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.Basic familiarity with mobile and web applications used for smart home control, and comfort working with configuration dashboards or vendor software tools.Attention to detail, ability to follow installation plans and safety guidelines, and readiness to work on-site in residential and commercial environments.Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, IT, or a related field; prior experience in smart home, security systems, or AV installation is preferred.
