Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole OverviewThis is a site-embedded SME role focused on the specific ELV, BMS, and security infrastructure of a designated data centre campus or facility. Unlike the portfolio-level SME role, this position requires deep, facility-specific technical knowledge — the as-built configuration, site-specific control logic, vendor systems in use, and local operational constraints of the assigned site — to provide hands-on technical support to site operations, construction, and commissioning teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the on-site/site-dedicated technical point of contact for all ELV, BMS, and security system matters at the assigned facility.Maintain detailed, current knowledge of the site's as-built ELV and BMS architecture, including device inventory, network topology, controller configurations, and integration points with EPMS and fire/life-safety systems.Support live-site troubleshooting of ELV, BMS, and security system faults, coordinating with OEM vendors and facility operations/NOC teams for rapid resolution.Review and validate site-specific change requests (MOPs/EOPs) affecting ELV, BMS, or security systems before implementation.Provide technical walkdown support during audits, client inspections, and compliance reviews specific to the site.Support site commissioning and re-commissioning activities for ELV, BMS, and security systems during capacity expansions, retrofits, or system upgrades.Maintain and update site-specific documentation — as-built drawings, points lists, network diagrams, and system configuration baselines — reflecting all field changes.Coordinate with the portfolio-level ELV & Security SME on design standard alignment, escalations, and lessons learned across sites.Support incident response and root-cause investigations for site-specific ELV/BMS/security events, including data gathering, log review, and vendor coordination.Train and guide site facility/operations personnel on ELV and BMS system operation, alarm handling, and basic troubleshooting.Required Skills & Experience8–12 years of experience in ELV and BMS systems, with demonstrated experience providing hands-on, site-level technical support in a live/operational data centre environment.Working knowledge of the specific BMS/EPMS platform(s) deployed at the assigned site (e.g., Niagara/Tridium, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Johnson Controls Metasys).Practical experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and PA systems as deployed and configured on an operational site.Familiarity with MOP/EOP (Method of Procedure / Emergency Operating Procedure) development and change control processes in a live critical facility.Ability to interpret as-built drawings, control narratives, and network diagrams specific to the site, and to identify discrepancies against current field conditions.Comfort working in a 24x7 critical facility environment, including responding to on-call escalations as required.Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work directly with OEM technical support and field service engineers.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on field experience.Site-specific OEM training/certification on the BMS or security platforms deployed at the facility.Prior experience in a site operations, facility engineering, or critical environment support role.Soft SkillsStrong ownership mindset and responsiveness in live-site, time-sensitive situations.Clear, concise communication with site operations, NOC, and vendor teams during incidents.Ability to work independently on site while staying aligned with portfolio-level design standards and reporting lines.
