Technology Resilience Specialist Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + BonusLocation: London (Hybrid Working)(Sponsorship not provided)Our client, a best-in-class globally recognised strategic advisory firm, is looking for a Technology Resilience Specialist to take genuine ownership of technology resilience across their global business.This is an opportunity for someone who has already developed strong experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or technology resilience as part of a wider team, and is ready for their next step: moving from contributing to a resilience programme to owning one. Reporting to the Group Head of ICT Infrastructure, you'll shape and drive this capability — turning technology resilience from an ICT discipline into something understood and exercised across the entire firm.Working in a predominantly cloud and SaaS-based environment, you'll increasingly partner with teams across the global business to understand their critical processes, technology dependencies, and the impact that disruption — including cyber events such as ransomware and identity compromise — could have on their ability to operate. This isn't a role centred on datacentre failovers or maintaining a library of recovery documents; it's about understanding how modern technology services depend on one another, and what happens to the business when one of those dependencies fails.Key ResponsibilitiesTake genuine ownership of the technology resilience capability, working increasingly across the firm's global business to embed it well beyond ICTMap dependencies between cloud platforms, SaaS services, identity, data, integrations, third-party providers and business processes to identify concentration and resilience risksEstablish meaningful Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) that reflect genuine business requirements, technical capabilities and supplier commitmentsDevelop Business and Technology Impact Assessments that explore not simply how a service is recovered, but the consequences of it being unavailableEnsure resilience and recovery planning properly accounts for cyber-related disruption — ransomware, identity compromise and service outage — working alongside the Security team so continuity and cyber incident response stay joined upOwn a programme of testing and exercising that proves recovery capability and drives continuous improvement from what it exposesTranslate your understanding of dependencies into recovery objectives, continuity plans, impact assessments, exercises and improvementsHelp teams across the firm understand their critical processes and dependencies, holding technical teams to account and building resilience into how the wider business operatesProvide clear, executive- and board-ready reporting on resilience posture, risks and improvementsEssential ExperienceStrong experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or technology resilience, developed as part of a wider team — and ready to step up and own a capability for the first timeA genuine interest in modern cloud and SaaS-based environments, and how interconnected technology services underpin the businessExperience with dependency mapping, business/technology impact assessments, and defining RTOs/RPOs against real business needsAn understanding of how cyber events (ransomware, identity compromise, service disruption) affect business continuity, and how recovery planning should account for themThe ability to engage and influence teams across a business, turning resilience from a technical exercise into a firm-wide capabilityConfident, executive-ready communication and documentation, including board-level resilience reportingEnough technical fluency to speak the same language as technical people and hold them to account (helpful, not essential)Desirable ExperienceExperience in a regulated or highly governed environment, with familiarity with operational resilience expectations (e.g. FCA/PRA)BC/DR or resilience framework experience aligned with standards such as ISO 22301 or ISO 27001, including supporting certification or surveillance auditsExposure to professional services or client-facing environmentsBusiness continuity or resilience certifications (e.g. BCI, ISO 22301)Experience leading structured disaster recovery or cyber simulation exercisesIf you are passionate about this opportunity and meet the qualifications and skills outlined, we encourage you to promptly submit your CV for consideration.
