Job Description - Telecommunications- Data Privacy - UAE Performing Privacy Impact Assessments for the projects assigned.·One can expect 1-2 projects being assigned per week. (I have been assigned 75 cases till now in a period of 1 year)·These projects/cases that are assigned shall belong to both Telecom and Non-Telecom initiatives. Also, these initiatives can be both B2B and B2C in nature. ·A PIA can last from anywhere 2 weeks to 6 months. (Depends on case-to-case priority, complexity, and PIA spoc responsiveness)·These assessments are conducted in excel sheets, and since the UAE PDPL has recently been brought about, a lot of business spocs, are not familiar with PIAs. So, one would simply not act as an assessor, but the expectation would also be to educate about the privacy regulation and help them fill these PIA sheet. ·Generating recommendations/outcomes after the assessment has been completed and reviewing the evidences provided and closing the same.·Providing privacy clearance/sign-off and informing the security planning spoc about any special considerations related to the project to be checked upon before full clearance. Helping the business owner(s) or process-wise spoc(s) to fill the Asset Inventory Tab.Helping the business owner(s) or process-wise spoc(s) to fill the Records of Processing Activities Sheet.Duplicating the information captured in these PIA sheets in Archer platform by manually creating these records.Maintaining assessment trackers, contributing to building artefacts like monthly executive decks, process catalogues, any other document as and when need arises. Performing secondary research on case topics, holding internal discussions, and coordinating with different stakeholders like Business, Security, Legal, Regulatory, and Procurement teams on a case-to-case basis.
