This role focuses on device configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, repair, inventory control, and asset lifecycle management.The technician will work closely with clinical staff, operational teams, IT personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure communication devices are properly maintained, tracked, and available for use.ResponsibilitiesConfigure, program, test, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair paging devices and related communication equipment.Manage the complete device lifecycle, including provisioning, deployment, redeployment, replacement, refresh, retirement, and disposal.Maintain accurate inventory records, asset accountability, and documentation using asset tracking or inventory management systems.Process returned equipment, perform functional testing and quality checks, complete minor repairs, and prepare devices for redeployment.Manage device distribution, shipping, receiving, and fulfillment activities.Maintain inventory levels, monitor asset utilization, and conduct periodic inventory audits.Troubleshoot hardware and device issues, perform routine maintenance, and escalate complex technical problems as needed.Support communication device requests and coordinate equipment distribution across multiple locations.Maintain operational documentation and support process improvement initiatives related to inventory and asset management.Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT, telecommunications, and vendor teams to resolve device-related issues.Required Skills and ExperienceHands-on experience with hardware support, device troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and maintenance.Experience with inventory management, asset tracking, or equipment lifecycle management.Experience using Microsoft Office applications and inventory or asset tracking systems.Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.Ability to perform minor equipment repairs and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.Strong customer service mindset and commitment to operational excellence.Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience supporting healthcare communication systems or working in a hospital or clinical environment.Experience with paging systems, telecommunications equipment, wireless communication devices, or mobile devices.Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).Experience with shipping, receiving, logistics, and technology equipment distribution.Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or enterprise inventory tracking systems.Experience supporting device refresh, replacement, redeployment, retirement, and disposal programs.EducationHigh School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience in telecommunications, technology support, inventory management, logistics, asset management, or a related field.ORAssociate's Degree.
