Temporary Procurement Assistant / Coordinator

Our client, a leading international exhibition organiser based in Dubai, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Temporary Procurement Assistant / Coordinator to support its procurement team during a busy project period.Duration: 3 months | Location: Dubai, UAE (on-site) | Reports to: Procurement DepartmentKey ResponsibilitiesSupplier Registration & Management: handle end-to-end supplier registration in internal systems, keeping all documentation accurate and up to date.Purchase Requisition Management: ensure all PR processes follow company policy, from creation to dispatch and follow-up.Data Management & Reporting: maintain accurate procurement data, using advanced Excel for data entry, analysis and reporting.Market Knowledge (Exhibition Industry): identify potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.Quote & Proposal Handling: receive, evaluate and compare supplier quotations and proposals.Vendor Communication: act as the main point of contact for supplier enquiries.Administrative Support: provide general admin support to the procurement department.Compliance: make sure all procurement activity follows company guidelines and regulations.Skills & QualificationsProven experience in a procurement or administrative role, ideally in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing supplier registration and keeping supplier records accurateSolid practical experience with Local Purchase Order (LPO) processes and rulesExcellent Microsoft Excel skills for data management and reportingGood knowledge of the exhibition industry market and its procurement practicesFamiliarity with procurement software, Zoho or SAP S/4HANA is an advantageStrong organisation skills and close attention to detailAble to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communicationProactive and self-motivated, able to work independently and in a teamBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferredCandidates must be based in the UAE and available to start at short notice.
