Tendering & Buying Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on and results-driven Tender & Buyer Specialist who will cement and build upon the recent improvements in processes and the win rate, to ensure all tender submissions are timely, high quality and commercially correct.ResponsibilitiesManage the RFx process on a day-to-day basis, with ultimate accountability for submission qualityManage the pre-tender sign-off process at the correct level of authorityCreate and manage the timeline for each individual response to ensure timely deliveryCompile, manage and interpret tender statistics on an ongoing basisRecord all completed tenders in the tender library with clarificationsIdentify new material/information to record in the tender library, updating existing material as necessaryConduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers for Non-company Equipment and stay informed about market trends.Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating favorable payment termsMonitor vendor performance and address any issues to ensure continuous improvementNegotiate prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best possible cost savings without compromising quality.Work closely with the finance team to ensure budgetary compliance and cost-effectivenessIdentify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate these risksQualifications3-5 years’ experience in procurement department and tender and RFx-related role, with at least 3 of these involved in the direct completion of RFPs/RFIsArabic Language is mandatoryPrevious experience managing government & military tenders is an added advantageExtensive experience in RFx completionAdvanced use of MS Office, knowledge of CRMAbility to communicate at all levels, including presentation skills
