Tensile Structural Engineer– Design, Estimation & Project Management

Are you a tensile structural engineer who thrives on seeing a project through from concept to completion?We're looking for an experienced Tensile Structural Engineer to join our team and take full ownership of projects — from design and calculation through to installation. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role for someone who understands the tensile industry inside out—including the materials that make it all possible.What You'll Do:Design & Analysis – Develop and analyze tensile structures, including membrane systems, steel frameworks, and shading solutionsCalculations & Drawings – Prepare structural calculation reports, shop drawings, and IFC drawings; perform load analysis (wind, seismic, dead load, live load)Material Selection (Critical) – Evaluate, recommend, and specify the optimal fabric type (PVC, PTFE, ETFE, PVDF-coated fabrics, etc.) based on project requirements, environmental conditions, fire ratings, translucency, durability, and budget constraintsEstimation – Provide accurate cost estimations for projects based on design requirements and material choicesProject Management – Manage the full project lifecycle from design to site installation, coordinating with production and site teamsEnd-to-End Handling – Oversee installation, ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirementsWhat We're Looking For:Diploma in engineering or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.3–5+ years of experience in tensile structure projectsDeep knowledge of tensile membrane materials – must understand the mechanical properties, weather resistance, lifespan, weldability, and coating technologies of various architectural fabricsProven ability to select the right fabric for the right application (e.g., permanent vs. temporary structures, high-wind zones, extreme heat environments like the GCC)Strong knowledge of tensile membrane systems, steel structures, and load analysisProficiency in design and analysis software (AutoCAD, FE analysis tools, and membrane-specific software is a plus)Saudi driving license (preferred)Location: Saudi Arabia (preferred) | Open to international candidatesWhy Join Us?Work on diverse projects across the GCC regionTake ownership of projects from design to installationBe part of a growing team in the tensile and shading industryHow to Apply:Send your profile and portfolio to:📧 contact@authent-structures.com📧 mehroo@authentstructures.com(Please mention "Tensile Structural Engineer Application" in the subject line)
