🗂 We’re Hiring: Terminal Automation System Specialist🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time💼 Level: Mid-Level to SeniorWe are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Terminal Automation System Specialist to support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of terminal automation systems. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, IT, control systems, maintenance, and external vendors to ensure reliable, safe, secure, and efficient automated terminal operations.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Design, configure, maintain, and optimize terminal automation systems and related control technologies.• Support automation systems used for terminal operations, material handling, loading, unloading, storage, and process control.• Monitor system performance, availability, alarms, events, and operational status.• Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and control system issues.• Perform system diagnostics, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance.• Configure and maintain PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, HMIs, industrial networks, and automation interfaces.• Support integration between terminal automation systems and ERP, MES, TOS, inventory, logistics, and other enterprise systems.• Develop and maintain automation system configurations, control logic, databases, interfaces, and technical documentation.• Support system upgrades, migrations, patches, enhancements, and technology modernization projects.• Coordinate with system vendors, contractors, engineers, and technical service providers for troubleshooting and implementation activities.• Conduct system testing, commissioning, validation, and acceptance activities.• Monitor cybersecurity, user access, system availability, backups, and recovery procedures for automation environments.• Support industrial network configuration, communication protocols, and connectivity between automation equipment and business systems.• Develop system performance reports, technical documentation, maintenance records, and operational procedures.• Identify opportunities to improve automation reliability, operational efficiency, system availability, and process performance.• Support emergency response, incident management, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities related to automation systems.• Ensure automation systems comply with applicable safety, operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.• Provide technical support and guidance to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.✅ Requirements• Proven experience in terminal automation, industrial automation, control systems, SCADA, PLC, or a related engineering/technical role.• Strong understanding of automation systems, industrial control systems, instrumentation, and process control.• Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, DCS, or industrial automation platforms.• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, or similar technologies.• Experience troubleshooting automation hardware, software, networks, and control system interfaces.• Strong understanding of industrial networking, system integration, databases, and automation architecture.• Experience with terminal operations, logistics systems, tank farms, ports, oil & gas, manufacturing, or process industries is an advantage.• Knowledge of automation cybersecurity, access control, backup, recovery, and system hardening is preferred.• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, Cybersecurity, and external vendors.• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.• Experience with automation system commissioning, testing, upgrades, and system integration projects is preferred.• Ability to respond to operational incidents and technical issues when required.• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Industrial IT, or a related field is preferred.• Relevant certifications in PLC, SCADA, industrial automation, control systems, networking, or cybersecurity are an advantage.🌟 What We Offer• Opportunity to manage and optimize mission-critical terminal automation systems.• Exposure to industrial automation, control systems, digitalization, operational technology, and system integration.• Opportunity to work with advanced PLC, SCADA, industrial networking, and terminal technology.• Career progression into Senior Terminal Automation Specialist, Automation Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, OT Engineer, Automation Manager, Terminal Systems Manager, or Automation & Control Systems Manager roles.• A technology-driven, safety-focused, and collaborative working environment.• Technical training, certifications, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.• Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits package.
