an exceptional passenger experience.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, performance, safety, security, service quality, capacity, facilities, and operational readiness of airport terminal facilities.The successful candidate will lead terminal operations across passenger flows, check-in, security interfaces, departure gates, arrivals, baggage, facilities, customer service, disruption management, commercial areas, and stakeholder coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesTerminal OperationsManage daily terminal operations and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable passenger flows.Coordinate terminal activities across departures, arrivals, transfers, gates, baggage, check-in, and public areas.Monitor operational conditions throughout the day.Identify congestion, bottlenecks, and service disruptions.Coordinate rapid resolution of operational issues.Maintain terminal operational readiness.Terminal Operations StrategyDevelop terminal-operating strategies aligned with airport objectives.Establish operational standards, procedures, and performance requirements.Develop short- and long-term terminal improvement plans.Optimize passenger flow, resource utilization, capacity, service quality, and operating costs.Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.Passenger Flow ManagementMonitor passenger movement throughout the terminal.Analyze traffic patterns and peak-period demand.Identify congestion points.Coordinate appropriate staffing and resource deployment.Improve passenger journey times while maintaining safety and security requirements.Check-In OperationsCoordinate check-in counters, self-service facilities, baggage-drop areas, and airline requirements.Monitor queue lengths and waiting times.Coordinate staffing and counter allocation.Support airlines in resolving operational issues.Promote efficient self-service adoption where applicable.Security Screening InterfaceCoordinate terminal operations with passenger and baggage screening teams.Monitor queues and screening capacity.Address operational bottlenecks without compromising security.Coordinate with airport security management.Support implementation of screening-process improvements.Departure OperationsOversee passenger movement from check-in through security, departure lounges, and boarding gates.Monitor gate readiness.Coordinate airline and ground-handling requirements.Identify potential delays.Maintain efficient passenger flows.Gate ManagementCoordinate gate allocation and utilization.Ensure gates are operationally ready.Monitor boarding activity.Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, and airport operations.Manage gate changes and operational conflicts.Minimize passenger inconvenience.Boarding OperationsMonitor boarding processes and passenger-flow performance.Coordinate gate staff, airline teams, and ground handlers.Ensure boarding areas remain safe and orderly.Support timely aircraft departure.Address boarding-related disruptions.Arrivals OperationsCoordinate passenger flows from aircraft arrival through baggage claim and terminal exit.Monitor immigration and customs interfaces.Identify congestion.Coordinate passenger assistance.Resolve arrival-service issues.Transfer OperationsManage terminal requirements for connecting passengers.Monitor transfer flows and connection risks.Coordinate transfer desks, gates, security, baggage, and airline teams.Minimize missed connections and passenger disruption.Baggage OperationsCoordinate terminal interfaces with baggage-handling operations.Monitor baggage delivery performance.Identify baggage-claim congestion.Coordinate response to delayed or mishandled baggage.Improve baggage-flow efficiency.Baggage Claim AreasMaintain safe and efficient baggage-claim areas.Monitor carousel allocation and utilization.Address passenger congestion.Coordinate with baggage operators.Monitor cleanliness, equipment, signage, and passenger information.Passenger ExperienceEstablish and maintain terminal customer-service standards.Monitor passenger satisfaction, complaints, and feedback.Identify key passenger pain points.Develop customer-experience improvement initiatives.Ensure consistent service across terminal touchpoints.AccessibilityEnsure terminal services are accessible to passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility.Coordinate with special-assistance providers.Monitor accessibility facilities and processes.Identify barriers and implement improvements.Special AssistanceCoordinate terminal services for elderly passengers, passengers with reduced mobility, families, unaccompanied minors, and other passengers requiring additional support.Monitor service performance.Resolve service failures.Coordinate with airlines and assistance providers.Terminal SafetyMaintain a strong terminal-safety culture.Identify hazards and unsafe conditions.Conduct operational safety inspections.Ensure candidate should have experience in Airport Terminal Operations, Airport Management, Passenger Services, Aviation Operations, Facilities Operations, or related disciplines.The candidate should demonstrate:Proven experience managing airport terminal or large-scale passenger operations.Strong understanding of terminal operations, passenger flows, check-in, boarding, arrivals, baggage, gates, and transfers.Experience managing airport operational teams and third-party service providers.Strong knowledge of airport safety and security interfaces.Experience with passenger-flow, queue, and terminal-capacity management.Experience managing operational disruptions and emergencies.Strong KPI, SLA, service-quality, and performance-management skills.Experience working with airport authorities, airlines, ground handlers, and regulatory stakeholders.Strong customer-experience capabilities.Knowledge of applicable aviation and airport regulations.Familiarity with GCAA requirements is highly advantageous.Knowledge of ICAO standards and international airport practices is advantageous.Experience with airport technology and passenger-processing systems is advantageous.Experience supporting terminal expansion, renovation, new facilities, or airport transformation projects is highly advantageous.Strong understanding of facilities, maintenance, cleaning, accessibility, and passenger-service operations.Experience with sustainability, energy efficiency, or environmental initiatives is advantageous.Strong data-analysis and operational-reporting capabilities.Relevant degree in Aviation Management, Airport Management, Business, Operations, Facilities Management, Hospitality, or a related field is highly advantageous.Airport operations, aviation safety, facilities, customer-experience, or operational-management certifications are advantageous.Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous for UAE/GCC environments.Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to remain calm and effective in a high-volume, fast-moving airport environment.Ability to manage multiple operational teams, contractors, airlines, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously.Ability to work independently in a fully remote and internationally distributed
